When Torn From All That Was Secure
During times of change, many people are dissatisfied with life and feel cast adrift without any direction for the future. These are hard times, and being left to face them alone can be overwhelming. The Center for Life Transition professionals understand the struggles that individuals and families experience while coping with difficult life changes. Consultation, assessment, referrals, and individual/group counseling are available.
Support Groups
Sometimes it's most helpful to share thoughts and feelings about one's experience with others. Being connected with other people who have had similar experiences can be comforting. It is also a place that difficult issues can be dealt with in an environment of support and understanding. Contact us to inquire about upcoming groups for men, women, adolescents, and children.
Counseling
Many people prefer a more individualized experience than what a support group offers. The therapists at the Center for Life Transition will meet with client couples, individuals in one-on-one sessions, or with the entire family as a group. Children through older adults are seen. Therapeutic interventions and the length of treatment is based on each individual's or family group's goals.
Consultation and Assessment
Families and individuals find themselves at times confused about the options they have in seeking help for family unit or a struggling individual. The Center for Life Transition therapists can assist in the decision-making process concerning appropriate mental health care. Assessments for level of care are also available for employers, schools and other institutions that might need their workers or students evaluated.
