Recognizing that each individual is a gift, possessing a unique personality and character, we feel it is imperative that the funeral or memorial ceremonies surrounding the death of an individual reflect the uniqueness of that person. At Bradley Funeral Homes we strive to provide the families and invited guests the means by which they can be involved in the experience of the deceased's life. The following list includes some examples that other families have found useful in creating a meaningful ceremony. This is by no means a complete list. Our Tribute Planner can assist by setting a theme that will help you memorialize your loved one and allow you to pay tribute in your own special way. Some creative ways of sharing memories during the funeral are:
Photographs:
This is by far the most widely used means of sharing memories that families use today. Individually framed photos, photo albums or a photo collage are all appropriate ways of displaying memories. We also provide our families with Memory Boards, which are used to display a collage of pictures. |
Tribute Videos:
Once you provide us with photos our tribute video technicians can put together a special tribute video that can be shown during visiting hours, church services and also be part of a very special tribute luncheon or dinner, which our tribute planners can assist you in organizing. |
Music:
Very often, a special relationship or memories of our loved one is defined by music or a certain song. Our technicians can provide a CD mix that can be played separately or incorporated into a tribute video to be played at the service. We can also provide an array of live musicians, soloist, string-quartet, harpist, pianist, etc which also can be incorporated into the service. All our funeral homes are ipod capable. |
Memory Tables:
Many people define their life through the work they do, the hobbies they enjoy or the family life they share. Having a table present with personal items, collectibles or mementos of the deceased help in remembering the individual as the unique person that he or she was. |
Memory Cards:

Different family members and friends have different memories of the deceased and know that person in their own unique way. By sharing a story or a memory on a card, the family is able to keep these stories in a memento chest and enjoy them repeatedly throughout the months and years ahead. Memory Cards may also be used at the funeral or memorial service as part of a eulogy. |
Theme:

As a way of continuing in the sharing of the memories and stories we can assist our families in implementing a theme-based gathering complete with food and refreshments at a local restaurant, church, hall or even a unique theme based setting of your choice. Such as, tribute block party, beach front, or local park, etc. We provide catering for all themed based tributes. |
Eulogy:
A eulogy is the traditional way of sharing personal thoughts and experiences at the funeral or tribute service. A eulogy can be written by a member of the family or a friend and read by the officiate or a family member or friend may speak as part of the service. We also provide the services of a Certified Celebrant to assist in writing and reading of the eulogy. |
Tribute Program:

These can be specially designed with black and white or colored photos which will contain the order of service, obituary, poems, anecdotes, directions to and from the church, cemetery and tribute luncheon/ dinner location. Generally the tribute program is handed out the day of the service or during visiting hours and can also make a very special keepsake which can be mailed to friends and relatives who live long distances and are unable to attend. |
