Adele M. Adamo

Adele M. Adamo, (nee MacDonald), 96, of Chatham Township, NJ passed peacefully on December 13, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Adele was raised in Queen’s NY. She resided in Norwood, Mass before moving to Chatham Township, NJ in 1968. She was very active in the Presbyterian church in Chatham as the “flower lady”,setting up the nativity each Christmas and making gift cards that were sold at the cookie walk at the church each year before Christmas, she was a volunteer at the library of the chathams mending books and received the Mayor’s Award for “outstanding volunteer service” in 1999,  she bowled at the Madison Stryxe Bowling Alley on a woman’s league for many years ending when she turned 80, and the most important thing she did was being the best mom anyone could ever ask for. Adele is pre-deceased by her husband of 55 years, Bob Adamo and her two sisters, Dorothy Scelza & Beulah Bochat. She is survived by three children, Barbara Adamo-Pennington, Donald and Monika Adamo and Ross Adamo, grandmother of Lauren Pennington, Alex and Jonathan Adamo. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham, NJ, followed by a Prayer Service at 1 pm.
