Adolfo “Jun” Castillo was a faithful servant of God, dedicated husband and devoted father. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family on December 6, 2014 in Union, New Jersey. He was born on March 1, 1947 in the Philippines. He worked for Nestle Philippines for over 23 years before coming to America to be with the love of his life Joy and raise his family.
He was a man who devoted his entire life to his wife and five children, Angela, Raymond, Jeffrey, Jeremy, and Kristine until the very last day. He was the greatest example of how a Christian should share God’s love, how a husband should love a wife, and how a father should raise his children. He became this man by following the loving example of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He came to know the redeeming love of the Lord Jesus in 1995, followed Him and never looked back. His uncompromising faith and zealous heart sought to glorify God in every action, word, or deed. One of his fervent wishes was to share the word of God to as many people as possible. Through songs that the Lord has given him such as “Anak, Nasaan Ka? ” (My Child Where are You?), “Why Don’t You Praise the Lord in the Morning”, and “Aginaldong Iyong Iniwan”, Jun has spread the gospel in New York, New Jersey, California and the Philippines.
He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Joy Castillo, his children Angela, Raymond, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Kristine, his daughter in law, Sharmaine, son in law, RJ , nieces , Yoli & Melissa and sister, Vangie. He has taught life lessons that will last generations to come and has shown the world a glimpse of heaven. He will be greatly missed.
