Albert Norman Cook

Cook, Albert, 88, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 12th, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Irvington to the late Frederick and Lelia, Albert was one of five children. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy where he proudly served his country during WWII. Upon his return, he continued his education, and graduated from the Newark College of Engineering. He worked for Singer Co as an electrical engineer, where he won many awards for patents. During this time, he travelled extensively to help develop factories internationally. After his retirement, Albert enjoyed playing golf, painting, and woodcarving, but above all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a longtime active member of Long Hill Chapel and served as an Elder. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.


Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Marjorie, his sons Stephen and his wife Caroline, Alan and his wife Eileen, Paul and his wife Joan; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his brother Ronald, and many other loving relatives and friends
