Alberto Alberti, Jr. also known as Al, Allan, or Uncle Junior, of Mountainside passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024. He was still young at heart at age 89.
Al was born in Newark to the late Alberto Alberti, Sr. and Mary (Lucadamo) Alberti and was a lifelong resident of Mountainside. Al was the youngest of his family that included three brothers and six sisters who preceded him in death. He is survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Al served our country in the Army for 2 years of active duty and 4 years in the Army Reserves. Following his military service, he worked for Chubb Insurance for many years prior to his retirement.
Anyone who met Al (or as his family lovingly called him Uncle Junior) knew that he loved life and had a heart of gold. Some of his favorite pastimes were singing karaoke at Cafe Z, watching his favorite sports teams, or catching the bus to the casino. Al was a lucky guy on his casino trips, but those of us who were lucky enough to know him are truly the lucky ones.
You are beautiful Uncle Junior and will be deeply missed.
