Cino, Alphonse, died peacefully on February 3, 2012, at St Barnabas Hospital with his children by his side.
Born February 3, 1924 to the late Vincent and Rose (nee Buscarino) Cino, Al was raised in Newark, and graduated from Barringer High School. After high school, he proudly served his country as a Sgt in the United States Army. Upon his return to the States, he continued his education taking classes at Seton Hall University. Al worked for the A&P Tea Company for over 40 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a longtime resident of Millburn and parishioner of St Rose of Lima Church.
Al was the pillar of his family who loved nothing more than spending time with them; especially his ten grandchildren. He was the loving husband of Rose (nee Caruso), who predeceased him in 2009. He is survived by his children Vincent and his wife Julia, Julianne Brown and her husband Bill, Cathy Jurgensen and her husband David and Richard and his wife Mary Hartnett. Also by his loving grandchildren Robert and his wife Jessica, and Christopher Cino, Peter and Mary Jurgensen, Marissa, Brian and Michael Brown, and Elizabeth, Patrick and Cate Cino.
He was the eldest of nine children, predeceased by Nat Cino and Angela Ilaria, he is survived by, Carmela Piccone, Lillian Monterosa, Beatrice Dessino, Rosemarie Pisani, Josephine Petruzzi; and Peter Cino, and his sister in law Julia Mayo, caregiver Joe and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
