Ann D. Marcelli, 86, of Springfield, New Jersey passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Center for Hope Hospice.
Ann was born on July 26, 1935 in Newark, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Giuseppe and Maria (nee Cipriano) Pettineo.
She was a graduate of East Side High School, Newark, NJ and worked as a Claims Investigator for New Jersey Transit for 25 years.
She was passionate about cooking and baking for her loved ones, proud of her Sicilian heritage and loved vacationing with family in Long Beach Island and San Diego. Above all else, she loved being with her family.
Ann was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Franklin in 2005. She was the loving mother of Mark Marcelli, Elvira Bibbo and late Joseph Bibbo, Gina Friedman and husband Jeff, Maria Marcelli and loving Grandma of Jaclyn Friedman, Cara Bibbo, Sabrina Bibbo and Jake Friedman. In addition, she was survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Connie and Rose.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 2:00-6:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:00 pm at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A graveside service will be 11:00 am on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
