Ann Matlaga, 91, of Whippany, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center, Steve and Donna were at her side along with Pastor Ross Lang of the Hildale Park Presbyterian Church.
Ann was born on May 3, 1926 in Whippany, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Anna (nee Bobick) Iwansik.
Ann was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church and was a former member of the Hanover Seniors. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos and sightseeing when she was given the opportunity. Ann loved helping people in her community.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stephen Matlaga. She was the loving mother of son, Stephen Matlaga, II. and wife Donna. She was the cherished Nanna of grandsons; Stephen Matlaga, III. and wife Karen, Daniel Matlaga and wife Shannon and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces; Carol Ambrose and husband Jim, Alice Skibic and several great nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd in Whippany on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Whippany, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Whippany, NJ. In her memory, donations can be directed to Hildale Park Presbyterian Memorial Fund.
