Ann "Anna May" Beirne

Ann (“Anna May”) Beirne, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, a long-time resident of Summit, New Jersey passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 4th 2021.

Anna May Mallon was born and grew up in Summit and worked at Ciba Geigy there.  She married Roger Beirne on September 13, 1953.  Anna May and Roger raised their two children John Patrick (“Jack”) and Eileen Ann in Summit.  Family was the most important thing to Anna May and she adored her three grandchildren.  She moved to Monmouth County in 2016 to be nearer to her children and grandchildren, most recently living in Spring Lake.

Anna May was predeceased by her parents Andrew Mallon and Annie (Kenny) Mallon; her beloved husband, Roger; their son, Jack; her brothers: Andrew V. Mallon, Charles Mallon, James Mallon and John Mallon; and her sisters: Evelyn Riegler (Lou) and Mary Ellen Weed (Jack).  She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Ann Pett and son-in-law, Thomas; her grandchildren: Dylan, Kaitlin and Jessica; her sister-in-law Louise Mallon; many nieces, nephews and friends.
