Anna Saksa

Anna Saksa, 97, of Whippany, formerly of Parsippany, passed away on February 11, 2019. Anna was born to Giovanni and Filomena Napoli on October 15, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York, where she was raised and lived for many years. She was a devoted wife and homemaker, and loved spending time with her family, with whom she enjoyed having long talks and helping whenever she could.  She was such a big part of her family, and was present for all of their milestones.  Anna also enjoyed reading, crocheting,  gardening and taking care of her plants and cooking – something she passed along to her children

Anna was predeceased by her devoted husband of 71 years, John.  She is survived by her son Michael Saksa and his wife Linda,  daughter Phyllis Asmar and her husband Joe, son Dennis Saksa and his wife Fran, son Peter Saksa and his wife Theresa; her grandchildren Christy and her husband Dan, Jennifer and her husband Bill, Kim, Lauren, Christine, Janine and her husband Brett, Christian and his wife Tara and Zachary; and great grandchildren Savannah, Madison, Dylan, Jake, Lillian, Annabelle, Milania, Ella, Logan, Zoe, and Teigen.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 10am at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, on Whippany Rd., in Whippany, New Jersey. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, New Jersey. There will be a visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany, New Jersey.
