Anna Theresa Petersen, 87, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Chatham, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY, Anna lived in Staten Island for 11 years, before moving to Florham Park, NJ and then later to Chatham. She has lived in Lancaster since 1998. Anna was a registered nurse, who began her career at Morristown Memorial Hospital, and retired after 12 years at Ingelmoor Nursing Home in Livingston. Anna was an accomplished craftswoman, enjoying knitting, crocheting, sewing and stenciling. Another hobby of hers was buying and selling houses. She was also known for playing practical jokes.
Predeceased by her parents Gasper and Theresa Daidone, husband Arthur W. Petersen, Sr., son Arthur W. Petersen, Jr., brother Sonny Daidone. Anna is survived by her children Fred Petersen, Rich Petersen, Karen Underwood and Debi Petersen; son-in-law Craig Underwood ; daughter-in-law Donna Schultz Petersen; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and sisters Genevieve Spinelli, Connie Gunsch and Marie Daidone.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 11am at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. Interment will follow at Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham. There will be a visitation on Tuesday from 5-9pm at the funeral home.
