Anne “Nancy” Frances Dravis, 79, of Cohasset, MA (formerly of Convent Station) passed away on January 11th.
Born and raised in Newark, the daughter of William and Anna Grant, Nancy had also lived in Glen Ridge and Montclair. She graduated in 1955 as Valedictorian from the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station. Her degree was in Chemistry. Nancy was a vice president at Hauser Laboratories in MA. Prior to that she worked at Ballantine Brewery, Nopco, Inc., and U.S. Testing, Inc (all in NJ). Nancy was a past president of the Wheelwright Farm Association and had volunteered for the Cancer Society, Literacy Volunteers and the Covenant House.
Previously deceased by her husband Richard M. Dravis and son James T. Clare, Jr., she is survived by her loving children Kevin P. Clare of Greentown, PA, Patrick J. Clare of Whitehouse Station, Anne F. Clare of Somerville and Elizabeth M. Surman of New Providence. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kelly McCrab, Samantha Clare, Shannon Moore, Caitlin Clare, Betina Driggers, Patrick Clare, Brendan Clare, Emily Surman and Anna Surman and great grandchildren, Paige, Sophia and Anderson McCrab. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the College of St. Elizabeth.
