~~Anne Reitzel, of Whippany, passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 10, 2017. Born in Bayonne, Anne was raised in Jersey City, and lived in Verona for 40 years before moving to Whippany 20 years ago. Anne was a homemaker, who held various jobs, but most enjoyed her time with the Draft Board in Montclair. She was a member of the Shillelagh Club of West Orange, and volunteered at the Women’s Auxiliary Thrift Shop in Verona. She enjoyed bowling, going to plays with her beauty parlor friends, and watching her son play football. Quite the character, she always had a knack for finding or creating humor in any situation.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Fred P.; and siblings John and Albert Olsen, Marie Fugitt and Irma Nazario. She is survived by her son Fred P. and his wife Andrea; daughter Nancy Tango and her husband Richard; grandchildren Kurt Reitzel, Victora “Tory” Tango; Kevin Reitzel, Richard J. Tango and Brady Reitzel; her sister Norma Reed; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home , 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany from 6-9pm, with a prayers and words of remembrance at 7:45pm. Entombment will take place at noon at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave. East Hanover.
