Barbara C. Pearse-Prassl also known as Barb, Aunt Barb, Nana and Mom, of Union, passed away at Overlook Hospital in Summit on Saturday, May 18, 2024. She was 82.
Born in Newark to the late Rego and Mary (Suchanek) Orell, she graduated from Union High School in 1959. Her first job was with Chubb Insurance Company as a premium bookkeeper for about 35 years. She then worked for Hannon Floors in Union as a secretary, celebrating 25 years with them this last past year.
Barbara enjoyed shopping, taking trips to the casino, and watching her crime shows in her free time.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Edwin R. Prassl. She is survived by her sister, Maryann Williams (Earl); her daughter, Deborah Pearse; stepsons, Alan Prassl (Janet) and Richard Prassl (Ethel); her four grandchildren, Dylan Prassl, Stephanie Daniels, Jake Prassl, and Jayla Prassl; her great-granddaughter, Autumn Prassl and her furry companion, Finn.
