Barbara M Kirwan DiAgostino, formerly of Florham Park and Whippany NJ, died February 26, 2015. She was 79. Barbara was born October 31, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA and came to the Morris County area in 1955. She was a member of Morris Area Geneology Society and the Ogle/Ogles Family Assoc. Barbara had an artistic passion included calligraphy and quilting. She was an engraver of fine jewelry, trophies and awards; most notable the Triple Crown award for Secretariat. For many years, she was also section manager for B.Altman & Co in Short Hills, before becoming a professional child care provider. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Constantin DiAgostino. She is survived by her four children from a previous marriage, her son John O Kirwan III and his wife Arlene, their children Amy and John IV, daughter Karen Theriault of Morristown and her children Brandon and Ryan, daughter Debra Kirwan-Kyprianou of Florham Park and her children Nicholas, Alec and Cooper and daughter Jan Kirwan of Orient NY. She also 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother William Dalton and wife Helen and their two sons Michael and Sean. Her brother Harry III predeceased her. Barbara graduated from Germantown High School in Germantown Pa. and attended Pierce School of Business Administration, Philadelphia Pa. She also received a four year scholarship to the Moore School of Art and Design affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts in Philadelphia Pa. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 12:00pm at the chapel at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Ave., East Hanover, where Barbara will be buried.
