Basudeb Mukherjee, of Millburn, passed away on September 18, 2022. He was 80 years old.
Basudeb was born in Kolkata, India and immigrated to the United States in the early ’70’s. He spent many years living in Cherry Hill, NJ, and traveled the world as a nuclear engineer for Bechtel Power Corporation before his retirement.
He will be remembered for his endless curiosity, his deep love for his family, his elegant sensibility, his good looks, his belly laugh, and his enormous heart. A loyal, loving and generous man, Basudeb enjoyed socializing, witty banter, flowers, and the music of Rabindra Sangeet, Louis Armstrong, and Harry Belafonte.
A natural born leader, he had a regal quality and could effortlessly command a room. He connected deeply with his friends, and radiated a passion for life, in all its intricate details.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nandita and his cherished daughter, Tiarra.
