Ben V Mirto

Ben V. Mirto, 90, of Mountainside, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years, Eileen, and their children.

Ben was a veteran of the United States Army, who served during World War II. He was a member of UNICO and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mountainside. He most enjoyed spending time with is family, particularly his loving grandchildren.

Ben was survived by his wife Eileen; sons Joseph Mirto, his wife Lauren and their children Tara, Ryan, Shannon and Colin, Keith Mirto, his wife Evelyn and their chidlren Sophia and Dominic, and Ben Mirto, his wife Astrid and their children Astrid and Ellena. Ben is also survived by his sister Angie Sblendorio.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Central Avenue, Mountainside, New Jersey. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. There will be a visitation on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, New Jersey.

Contributions in memory of Ben may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
