Beverly Schramm
03/10/1929 - 09/16/2022

Born in 1929 in Newark, NJ to Dorothy Vreeland Redden Smith and Edgar Gray Smith, Beverly was the sister of Warren Vance Smith and Irma Elizabeth Farquhar. She met her husband, the late Henry Schramm in the alley – the bowling alley and married him in 1958. Beverly is survived by her two children, Linda Anne Schramm, and Mark Henry Schramm (wife, Joan), for whom she fulfilled the call and faithfully committed to the role of mother, welcoming many others who called her likewise. Beverly graduated from East Orange High School and resided in Essex County until moving to Whippany in 1971. Beverly filled her life in loving her Lord with all her heart, mind, soul, and strength, and loving and serving others in His Name and to His Glory.

She truly was a Proverbs 31 woman:

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can rejoice at the days to come.

26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

31 Honor her for all her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”

Before motherhood, Beverly worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Donofrio and as a lab technician for Organon Pharmaceutical for about 10 years. Beverly also worked for the Suburban Air Pollution Commission, and the Township of Hanover from whence she retired. Then, Beverly cared for her mother, family members and friends with various illnesses and limitations. Always active in church, Beverly sang in choirs for 50+ years. Having served as the President of the Hanover Township Republican Club, Beverly also served on the Morris County Medical Reserve Corp and Hanover Township’s Community Emergency Response Team.

She is predeceased by her parents, Dorothy Vreeland Redden Smith, and Edgar Gray Smith; her husband, Henry Schramm; her brother, Warren Vance Smith; and her sister, Irma Elizabeth Smith Farquhar.
