Blanche Engstrom, 80, of Summit, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.
Blanche was born on December 22, 1936 in Strängnäs, Sweden. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edorph William and Ella Maria (nee Muller) Larson.
Blanche grew up in Montclair and graduated from Montclair High School. She worked as a stewardess for National Airlines prior to her staying home and taking care of her children.
In her spare time, she enjoyed making floral arrangements and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her brother, William Larson. She is survived by her children; daughter, Elaine E. Brenner, son, Carl S. Engstrom, Eric E. Engstrom, daughter, Christine M. Engstrom and son, Knut E. Engstrom. She was the cherished grandmother of Erika, Tamie, Kaley, Nichole, Leah, Dana, Brooke, and great-granddaughter, Lillee.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ. Words of Remembrance will begin at noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.
