Carmine “Carl” Lardieri, 87, of Cedar Knolls, New Jersey and long time resident of Union, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Carl was born on October 24, 1927 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerardo and Raffaela (nee Donatiello) Lardieri.

Carl worked as a tool and dye engineer for many years at Durex in Union, NJ. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4504. He was an avid reader, loved photography and puzzles and enjoyed spending time down the shore with his family.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Marie Lardieri. He is survived by his children; Michele Reinhard and husband Dennis, Paula Jeklinski and husband Ed, Carl Lardieri, Jr., Vincent and wife, Diane Lardieri. He was the cherished grandfather to Garrett Strawder, Kimberly Reinhard Piotrowski, Adam Reinhard, Lauren Jeklinski, Eddie Jeklinski, AnneMarie and Anthony Lardieri, Daniel and Ciara Iasillo, and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Geraldine Strawder and grandson, Eric Reinhard.

A visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union, NJ 07083. An interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ. In Carl’s memory, you can make a donation in his name to Atlantic Hospice, 465 South Street, Suite 1, Morristown, NJ 07960.
