Chaohui Tu, 80 of Short Hills, passed away on June 4, 2021. Visiting hours at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. in Springfield will be held on Wednesday, June 9th from 4pm to 8pm. The service and burial are private.
Chaohui was born and raised in Wuwei, Anhui, China where she worked as a clerk at several retail companies until her retirement 1984. She came to the United States in 2000 first settling in the Forrest Hills section of Queens before moving to Short Hills in 2007. An excellent cook, Chaohui also enjoyed gardening, travel, music and playing Majiang. But most of all, she loved taking care of and spoiling her grandchildren.
Chaohui was the beloved wife of Xu Yi. She is also survived by her son Charles Yi and his wife Susan Li, and daughters, Dalin Yi and her husband Zhiyong Zhou, and Yalin Yi, grandchildren, Yi Zhou and his wife Linyi Lu, Xiao Yi and her husband Zhi Cui, Yang Yi, and Felicia Yi and her younger brothers, Chaowen Tu and Chaoshuan Tu.
