Charles F. Orrico
06/27/1934 - 12/02/2024

Charles F. Orrico, of Madison, formerly of Chatham and then Wharton, passed away on December 2, 2024 at Morristown Medical Center.   He was 90.

Known as Charlie, he was born in Plainfield and raised in Scotch Plains.  He grew up with a large group of extended family and friends.

Once married, he and his wife Nancy began their life together in Scotch Plains before moving to Chatham, where they resided for over 4 decades raising their family.  Later they moved to Wharton, before relocating to their current residence in Madison, where he spent his final days.

Charlie served in the US Army, traveling to multiple countries in his youth.  After his time in the military, he ran the family business, Berkeley Liquors, for many decades.

Charlie was known for his gift of gab.  His dry sense of humor showing in every conversation.  He was always looking to make that kind connection with others.  He enjoyed movies featuring the Mafia or horses, his Cadillac, linguini with clam sauce, and Wildwood Crest.  Time with family and friends always brought him great joy.

He was the beloved husband for 64 years to Nancy Orrico; loving father of daughter Shelly Zanowicz and her husband Robert, son Robert Orrico, and his late daughter Pamela Orrico; and the devoted grandfather of Luke Zanowicz.

Due to her current health issues, Nancy will not likely be able to attend the services.  If you wish to send her a card or note, please send to her attention at Wm. A. Bradley & Son, 345 Main St., Chatham, NJ 07928 or send a message of condolence from the link in the upper left corner of this page.
