Charlotte E. Fekete, 94, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.
Charlotte was born on March 8, 1919 in Wallingford, CT. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Victor and Maude (nee Chamberlain) Eustace.
Charlotte was a graduate of Irvington High School. She worked at Irvington Public Library for 49 years. She later worked for Dr. William Bauer at night to help families with insurance and paperwork. Her last job was for Dr. Donald DeFabio for 18 years before retiring at the age of 84.
She was a member of the Fortnightly Club, a member of the New Providence Presbyterian Church, and was a proud member of the Scotty Club for 78 years and met regularly with members. Charlotte was very generous, had a great sense of humor, had many friends and loved ones.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, John Fekete in 1988. She was the mother of daughter, Debbie and husband John Gianatasio of Chatham, NJ, and son, David and wife Laura Lee Fekete of Dove Canyon, CA. She is also the grandmother to four cherished grandchildren; Lacey and husband Josh Speert, Robyn Gianatasio, Carol and Alex Fekete, and many friends and loved ones.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wm. A. Bradley and Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the New Providence Presbyterian Church, 1307 Springfield Ave., New Providence, NJ 07974. An entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlotte’s memory can be made to the Chatham Emergency Squad, 45 Spring Street, Chatham, NJ 07928 or to New Providence Presbyterian Church Deacon Fund.
