Christy (Lynne) Reynolds Andersen went to be with the Lord, her Savior, on September 28, 2023. Christy resided in Morristown, NJ with her husband Thomas Stewart Andersen. She was born on December 25, 1961, in Okinawa, Japan. Christy was a loving and giving person, known for her spiritual nature and generous heart.  Preceding Christy in death were her parents, Roberta (aka Robin) and Robert (aka Bob) Reynolds both from York, PA and Father-in-Law, James A. Andersen Jr. of Wilmington, DE.

Christy is survived by her husband, Tom; by her brother, Craig Reynolds (Deb) of York PA; her sister, Kate (née Reynolds) Rosenthal (Joel) of Pittsburgh, PA, and her aunt, Carol Messerly (Aurora, OH). Christy will be deeply missed by her daughter, Roxana MacIntyre (Berryville, AR), and sons Benjamin (Becca) and Paul Andersen of Philadelphia, PA. In addition, she is survived by her Mother-in-Law, Nancy Andersen of Hockessin, DE and numerous brother and sister-in- law’s as well as many nieces and nephews.

Raised in York, PA, she graduated from York Suburban High School and went on to earn a degree in Graphic Arts from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Using this know how, and her – personal ingenuity, she went to work for various companies in Wilmington, DE (Lyons, Jones Kent, MBNA, Delmarva Power, W.L Gore and Associates). She ultimately formed her own Marketing and Communications Consultancy where she assisted such corporations as Exelon Energy, PPL, and WGL Energy with advertising, marketing and event planning.

She loved swimming and participated in competitive synchronized swimming. She had a passion for traveling, entertaining, cooking, theater, live music and our dogs. She hosted many spectacular get togethers for her family and friends.

Christy was a dedicated and faithful Christian woman who pursued her faith journey with the Episcopal Church. She attended and completed the Education for Ministry program in May of 2014 administered by the University of the South, School of Theology.

Christy Andersen’s kind heart, spirituality, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Funeral:
A celebration of Christy’s life will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (70 Maple Avenue) in Morristown, NJ at 11 am on October 28, 2023 - a reception will follow immediately after the service. All are welcome to attend.
Memorial Gifts:
