Consuelo A. Kling, a 66-year resident of Chatham Township, passed away on September 7, 2023. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 14, 1927, to William and Margaret Kucker. She grew up on Staten Island graduated from what was then, Notre Dame, now St. John’s University. Upon graduation, she was employed by Smith Barney and Company.
Over her lifetime, she volunteered at the New York Foundling Hospital, New York, NY, the Mother’s Guild of St. Patrick’s School of Chatham, the Library of the Chathams and was a Lifetime Member of the Historical Society of the Township of Chatham. She also delighted in making trays of lasagna for Eva’s Kitchen, Patterson, NJ through St. Patrick’s Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank. She is survived by her sons Frank W. and his wife Lynn of Madison, CT and Michael A. and his wife Laura of Hilton Head Island, SC along with six grandchildren, Andrew Kling, Caroline Kling (Ilya Vilnits), Margaret Kling Kowal (Aaron), Michael Kling, DO., Julia Desmond (Colin), Hailey Griffin (Sarah Catherine Barlow), and three great grandchildren, Alina, Zelia & Ethan. Dedicated to her family and church, she will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 11:30am. Interment will be Private.
