Dagmar Kirsten Heien, 75, of Whippany, passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital on August 27th. Born and raised in Kristiansand, Norway, Dagmar came to the United States in 1957. First visiting friends in Wisconsin, she later moved to Essex Fells where she worked for many years as an au pair. She met her future husband, Jimmy in1959 and was married in November 1961. Dagmar was a long time member of the Sons of Norway, NOR-BU-LODGE 467 in the Lake Telemark section of Rockaway and was also a member of VASA in Budd Lake. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, needle point, and travel. Dagmar will be fondly remembered by family and friends her special sense of humor also for devotion to family and friends.
Dagmar was the beloved wife of 50+ years to Jimmy. She was the loving mother of Stephen. Her cherished daughter Susan passed away in March, 2011. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Astri Larsen, and Martha Adriansen in Norway.
