Daria Berdej (nee Bubniak) of Newton NJ, passed away early Thursday morning at age of 86. Born in Wielopole, Poland, she moved to the US almost forty years ago. The family resided in Rockaway NJ. She was the wife of Emilian Berdej whom she married 63 years ago. She worked for Angar Scientific Co. for over thirty years before retiring to Bethlehem Pa., and lastly moving to Newton. Daria loved spending time with family and friends but her true passion was gardening. She loved flowers, birds, dogs, and music. In her single days, she belonged to a dancing group. She is survived by her husband Emilian, daughters Julia Berdej and Miroslawa Jaroszak, son Dariusz Berdej, grandchildren Marta, Emilia, Claudia, Darius, Dianna, and Alex, and great-grandchildren Gianna, Jayden, and Marco, and their respective families, and her beloved dog Max. Daria will be remembered for her always strong character, happy demeanor, and positive attitude.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm with Parastas at 7 pm at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 10 am at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 60 North Jefferson Rd. Whippany, NJ. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
