David Manuel de Araujo, passed peacefully on March 1, 2017. Born, August 23, 1928 and raised in Sopo, Vila Nova de Cerveira. David came to the United States in 1976 and has been residing in Union ever since. He worked in construction with Caruso of Tenafly, NJ from 1980-1995, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed soccer and his favorite team was Benfica, he was a handyman and loved gardening. David is pre-deceased by hiw fie Aida M. Araujo (nee Queiroz), and his son Rui Araujo, and his 4 brothers. He survived by his daughter, Maria and Mario Teixeira, his son Tony and Mindy Araujo, four grandchildren, Brian and Kimberly Teixeira, David and Nicole Araujo, 1 brother and 3 sisters all living in Portugal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:15 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Union. Interment Hollywood Memorial Park.
