Della M. Potcher (formerly DeIesso), 68, of Westfield, N.J., died on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016. A lifelong New Jersey resident, Della was born in Summit, grew up in Union and lived for a while in Maplewood before moving to Westfield last year. She was the former owner of Del’s Card and Gift Shop and Mrs. Jack’s Pizzeria, both in Maplewood. Della was charitable, loving and kind and rarely ever seen without a smile on her face.
Della was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Mary DeIesso; her husband, Edward S. Potcher; her sister, Elizabeth Nicastro and her brother, Raymond DeIesso, Jr. Surviving are her son, E. Lee Potcher and daughter-in-law Sheila Potcher; her sisters, Clara Del Monte of New Providence, N.J., Mary Lou DeIesso of Springfield and Carrie Verducci of Berkeley Heights, and 18 nieces and nephews as well as countless cousins and friends.
There will be a memorial gathering for her at Bradley, Smith and Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. in Springfield, N.J. on Friday, March 25th from 3 to 6 P.M.
