Plan for the Future
Dennis G. Tracy, a life-long resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully at University Hospital in Newark on May 2, 2023. He was 66 years old.
Born in Summit to Mary T. “Chickie” Tracy and the late Donald A. Tracy, Dennis was a graduate of Chatham Borough High School. He proudly served in the US Coast Guard from 1974 until his honorable discharge in 1980. He worked as a plumber for the majority of his life, and you could always count on him for all things requiring handiwork. He was a member of the Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department since 1981 and was a 9/11 volunteer first responder.
Dennis was an avid coin and rock collector and a wii bowling champion. He enjoyed crabbing and playing the harmonica, was a lover of science fiction and classic rock music, listening on his favorite radio station Q104.3 and a loyal New York Yankees fan.
He was simply one of a kind. Dennis was a loyal friend, a caring son and brother, but most of all, a loving father to his daughters Jenna and Kerianne.
Dennis is survived by his daughters, Jenna and Kerianne Tracy; their mother, Sally Scherzer Tracy; his mother, Mary T. Tracy; sister Diane Bleibdrey, brother-in-law Ed Bleibdrey, and brothers Deane and Dan Tracy.
