Diane Edith Johansen, 86, of Morristown, NJ, passed away on November 6, 2023. Visiting hours at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. in Springfield will be held on Wednesday, November 15th from 10am to 12pm. There will be a prayer service at 11:30 during the visitation. Interment will follow at Springfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 101 Taft Lane in Springfield.
Born in Irvington, the daughter of Aksel and Edith (Oyala) Johansen, Diane was raised in Springfield. She worked for over 40 years as a personal assistant to Mr. and Mrs. Starret in Morristown. She had a passionate love for animals, nature, and gardening.
Diane was the dear sister of Edith Johansen. She was the loving aunt of Penny-Ann Hernandez (Joseph Valentino), Jo-Ann Blackwell (Ken) and Byron Huelsenbeck (Maddie). She is also survived by her friends Cathy Cerza and George Brigs and was proud of her long-standing friendship of 72 years to Ge-Gee.
