Donald R. Geddis, 87, of Summit, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Arden Courts, West Orange, NJ.
Donald was born on October 5, 1932 in Summit, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Genevieve (nee Daly) Geddis.
He served in the United States Army serving from 1954-1956. Donald worked as a Principal in Summit High School, Summit, NJ for 27 years.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife Susan G. Geddis and was the loving father of Cathleen McDonough (Tom), Erin Cummings (Rich), Deirdre Kennedy, Eileen Dexheimer (Craig), Christopher Geddis (Sherry), Kevin Geddis, Megan Avitto (John). He was the cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, Summit Avenue, Summit NJ 07901 and Summit Historical Society, 90 Butler Parkway, Summit NJ 07901. Due to the recent COVID-19 quarantine, memorial arrangements will be made at a later date.
