Doris Yesenko, 85, of Whippany died at her home on June 22, 2012. She was born in Elizabeth and raised in Union, graduating Union High School Class of 1945, and a resident of Whippany since 1953.
Doris worked for NJ Bell as a Secretary and then for Hanover Twp. as Assistant Clerk to Bob Keenan, from 55-65. She also was a Book Keeper at Mt. Pleasant Village in Parsippany for 22 years retiring in 1985.Doris was a long time parishioner of the 1st Presbyterian church of Whippany, were see also taught Sunday School during the 50’s-60’s .
She enjoyed sewing and travel, but only by bus seeing all but three of the continuous states, and cherished time spent at their summer home in Hemlock Farms, PA., from 1980-2005. Beloved wife of Val Yesenko they would have celebrated their 60th Anniversary next month. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. A service will be held at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany, NJ on Saturday June 30 at 10:30am. Friends may call to the funeral home on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9pm.
