Dorothy Halpin, 77, of Union, New Jersey passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Chatham Hills.
Dorothy was born May 4, 1940 in Newark, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Mary (nee Zajac) Kapuscinski.
Dorothy grew up in Newark before moving to Belleville and settling in Union with her husband William. She worked as a cafeteria manager at Battle Hill School, Union for many years before retiring in 2000. Dorothy was a long-time parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, Union, NJ and a member of the Seniors Group within the church.
Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, William in 2015. She was the loving mother of daughters; Kathleen Redpath and husband John and Sharon Kraycirik and husband Andrew. She was the cherished grandmother of Rachel Kraycirik.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home 1100 Pine Ave, Union NJ 07083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:15 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. Michael’s Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union, NJ. An entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to SAGE Eldercare, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
