Edith J. Falcone, 92, of Berkeley Heights, NJ passed away in her home on Friday, November 11, 2022. Edith was born on October 13, 1930 to George and Marion (Geffinger) Cook in Newark, NJ. Edith graduated from West Side High School in 1948, and went on to have a 25 year career as Chief Clerk at New Jersey Bell Telephone Company.
As a longtime Millburn resident, Edith enjoyed traveling the globe, and cherished making memories with family and friends. She always made a point of attending her grandchildren’s sporting events to cheer and support them. Edith also made sure to keep herself active, and social with cardio aerobics classes, and walking her beloved dogs. Edith lived life to the fullest and will always be remembered for her love of life, wonderful laugh, and engaging personality.
Edith is survived by sister Doris Wassen, her daughters Maureen Farquhar Gilligan, Karen Farquhar (Gary Bucca), and Sharon Durbin, stepsons David Falcone (Nafisah) and Richard Falcone, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Salvatore Falcone, sister Marion Lawrence, and step son Thomas Falcone.
The family will greet visitors at Wm. Bradley & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 16 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills on Thursday, November 17 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ 07083. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edith’s memory may be made to Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 117, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922.
