Edna Marie Hoffer,85, a resident of Whippany, N.J. ,passed away Jan. 19, 2012. Edna was born in Astoria NY Jan. 11,1927. She earned her Bachelor Degree in education from Kean University and worked as a school librarian for 20 years. Her many interests included crossword puzzles, sailing, Mets baseball, reading, and vacationing at Stone Harbor N.J.
She was a member of the 1st. Presbyterian Church of Whippany, the Hanover Seniors Club, and the Morris County Educators.
Edna was predeceased by her husband Charles A. Hoffer of 54 years of marriage. She is survived by her beloved sons Edward of Denville, N.J. and William of Whippany, N.J. Also a sister in law Barbara of Long Island, NY as well as 2 nieces and 3 nephews and a great niece and great nephew.
