Plan for the Future
Edward A. Ryan, age 79, passed at home from a sudden illness on August 20, 2021. He grew up in Harrison, Kearny & Lyndhurst, New Jersey. At retirement he lived in Toms River, NJ. Edward was a “Resilient Flooring Installee” at Greystone Park Hospital for 40 years and was esteemed by his co-workers as a kind, hard-working person, always willing to assist when needed. He enjoyed baseball, football, swimming in the ocean, gardening, long walks along the ocean, & remodeling his home.
Edward is survived by his sister, Irene Bodendorf of Rangeley, Maine, his sister-in-law Catherine Ryan of Cedar Knolls, NJ, five nieces & nephews and 12 great nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave. in Summit, NJ on Saturday, October 23rd at 10:45am. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Brough and Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave. in Summit on Friday, October 22nd from 5 to 7pm.
