Edward Burr, 95, of Union, NJ, passed away July 5th at Overlook Hospital.
Born and raised in Bloomfield, NJ, he graduated Bloomfield High School in 1947 and joined the Navy and served for 2 years.
He started a 42-year banking career after his discharge at Lincoln Savings Bank. He married the love of his life Carmela in 1951. Ed joined the Air National Guard while employed at Lincoln Savings and was called to active duty during the Korean War. He served in Newfoundland, Canada as a radar operator for 2 years. After discharge, he returned to Lincoln Savings and retired from First Fidelity Bank in 1990. In his retirement, he enjoyed going to Las Vegas & Atlantic City with Carmela and watching his favorite shows on TV.
Ed is predeceased by his wife Carmela. He is survived by his daughter Brenda (Bree) and his furry buddy Clifford.
He was a good man, we will miss him dearly.
