Ned Raynolds, 85, of Short Hills, NJ, passed away on October 1, 2023. He was born on May 22, 1938, in England. Ned, also known as Edward Otto Raynolds, was a Public Relations Executive, specializing in financial communications, investor relations, and crisis management. He was a Principal at The Dilenschneider Group and a former Senior Managing Director at Hill and Knowlton, Inc.
Ned is survived by his wife, Joan Raynolds, and his daughter, Susan Raynolds. He was a graduate of Lehigh University, where he earned a BA in English in 1961, and NYU Stern School of Business, where he obtained an MBA.
In his free time, Ned enjoyed playing and composing jazz piano and was a member of a jazz band during his college years. He was an avid runner who participated in NYC Marathons, and was a member of The Hash House Harriers. He was also a passionate photographer, recording beautiful memories of his family and friends throughout the years. He loved vacationing with his family in Newport, R.I. and was a member of the prestigious Newport Reading Room. He enjoying being involved with the community and was a former President of The Short Hills Association, and also a member of The Princeton Club.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:15 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, located at 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, NJ. Interment will take place at St. Rose of Lima cemetery immediately following the mass. The funeral services are being handled by Bradley, Smith and Smith, located in Springfield, NJ.
