Edward S. Motacki, 88, of Union, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Born and raised in Jersey City, Edward has lived in Union since 1969. He was a motor vehicle inspector at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Jersey City for 35 years, retiring in 1989. A veteran of the US Navy, Edward served during WWII. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Irene (nee: Tatarek); sons Robert Motacki and his wife Kathleen, and Brian Motacki; grandchildren Robert, Lisa and John Motacki; and brother in law Ted Tatarek.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 22, 2012 at 9:30am at Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Rd., Union. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. There will be a visitation at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home 1100 Pine Ave., Union on Tuesday from 7-9pm.
