Eileen Margaret McGlynn, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 27, 2020. She was 78. Eileen was born in Newark and grew up in Chatham. She graduated from Chatham High School and went on to become a Customer Service Representative in Telecommunications for Lucent Technology.

Eileen and her husband Alfred, retired to Cape Coral Florida where they made countless cherished friends in the 50 plus softball league. Over 16 years, they enjoyed attending spring training for the Minnesota Twins.

Eileen has had a lifelong love of animals especially cats. She often rescued cats and nurtured them back to health. In New Jersey, she supported the Associated Humane Society and in Cape Coral, she was active with the animal association ARC.

Eileen is predeceased by her loving parent Ann Bauer Bangert & Harry Bangert. She will be missed by cousins, circle of close friends, relatives and her loving husband.
