Our beloved, Elaine Cummings nee Whitehead was born on August 12th 1940 in the small village of De Kindren, West Coast Demerara, Guyana.
She migrated to the USA and lived in Irvington for the past 30 years until she left for the Pearly Gates on June 25th at the age of 83 surrounded by her four daughters.
She left to mourn her daughters Rosemary Khan and her husband Rahamat Khan, Juneanne Bascom & husband Trevor Bascom, Dollette Cummings & Dollis Cummings and husband Daniel Belean. Foster mother of Robert Cummings, Ingrid Cummings, Grace Smith, & Roy Gomes. She was grandmother of Dellon Khan, Xavier Pearson, Nicholas Belean, Emily Belean, Venus Reyes, Victoria Reyes and the late Ryan Mohamed .
She was the aunt of Vincent Todd & Bernadette Jordan, the late Anselm Todd, Joan Shartup, George Todd, Alexis Varano, Leo Todd, Rommel Todd, John Todd, Denice Hubbard & Anthony Todd. Sandra Doobay, Penelope Doobay & Robin Doobay.
She was the great aunt of Melissa Milord, Marcia Todd, Michelle Philips, Marcel Todd, Shaun Todd and many others.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Rupert Cummings, mom Lilian Whitehead, brother George Todd and Sisters Thelma Whitehead, Reta Atwell & Majorie Doobay.
Elaine was a fun loving, good humored, person who loved spending time with family and friends. She loved music and dancing.
