Elizabeth Ann “Bette” Burke

Elizabeth Ann “Bette” Burke, 80, of Chatham, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center.

Elizabeth was born on May 29, 1936 in Orange, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Theodore and Louise (nee Pfeifer) Dolan.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Union High School and worked as a Law Office Manager for John W. Taylor, Esq. She was a long-time parishioner of Corpus Christi Church, Chatham, NJ for over 40 years. Bette was a member of the Town and Country Garden Club in Chatham and loved spending her time outdoors tending to her flowers.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Michael E. Burke, III of 56 years. She was the loving mother of Michael E. Burke, IV and his wife, Amy and Laura Sahazizian and husband Anton. She was the cherished grandmother of Colin and Grady Burke and Jack and Lilly Sahazizian. She was also survived by her siblings; Rita Brennan, Marian Burke, James and Thomas Dolan. She was predeceased by her sister, Louise Connell.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd, Chatham, NJ 07928. An interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, NJ.
