Elizabeth “Beth” (Nixon) Hearne, of Malden Massachusetts and Union New Jersey, passed away on December 22, 2020 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Beth was born on February 3, 1952 to the late Jack and Jane (McCarthy) Nixon.
She was married to Ed for 25 years until his death in 2005. Loving mother to Patrick (and husband Craig) and Matthew (and wife Kelly). Adoring grandmother to Conor and Logan. Cherished sister to Pam Kropilak (and husband Gary) and Robert Nixon (and wife Robbie). Loving sister in law, aunt, cousin, friend, niece, and all around amazing person.
She received her nursing degree from Seton Hall University and her masters from Montclair State University. Beth proudly worked as a hospital nurse and a school nurse for the Newark Public Schools for many years until her retirement.
Beth did not let her battle with cancer define her. She lived her life to the fullest with great pride and determination. She always focused on the present and enjoyed every moment of life. Her optimism was infectious and an example for others who battled a terminal illness.
Funeral Services will be private with a public memorial service post pandemic.
