Elizabeth A. Dudley, 88 of Florham Park, NJ, formerly of Brooklyn & Bronxville, NY, died at home on June 16th. Betty, as she was known, worked for Exxon-Mobil for many years. She graduated from St. Joseph College of Brooklyn, NY in 1948. She was a faithful supporter of her alma mater, St. Joe’s.


She had many friends, as her personality and kind ways endeared her to others. She was an active member of St. Patrick Church in Chatham, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, both in the parish and at Morristown Medical Center. She was a long standing member of the Rosary Society of St. Pat’s.


She was predeceased by her father Sylvester Dudley, her mother, Elizabeth (nee) Cassidy, and her sisters Mary Dudley and Rita Stoelting.


Betty was a dear Aunt to Raymond Stoelting and his wife Maggie and to Marianne Stoelting. In addition, she leaves two great nieces and three great-great nieces and a great-great nephew. She was also a dear cousin to Lorraine McNally, Gerard Gannon, Sr. Margaret Gannon, IHM and Robert C. Gannon.


A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June20th at 10 am at St. Patrick Church, 85 Washington Ave, Chatham. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 19th from 4-8 pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St, Chatham. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph College, Century Fund, 245 Clinton Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11205.
