Elizabeth A. Rudewick

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Rudewick (nee: Sotack) 89, of Chatham, formerly of Mount Arlington and North Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Freeland, Pennsylvania, Betty lived in North Brunswick for over 30 years before moving to Mt. Arlington. She has spent the last 5 years in Chatham. Betty loved participating in the Seniors Club at Berkshire Hills, Mt. Arlington, where she had very close friends. She enjoyed spending summers at Point Pleasant Beach.  Betty was an extremely generous person who loved to laugh. She was beloved by all of her family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Rudewick, and many brothers and sisters; Betty was survived by her daughters Patricia Short and her husband Bob of Chatham, New Jersey, and Sharon Gallear and her husband Dale of Lewes, Delaware; grandchildren Matt Short, Jenna Short, Lisa Chewning and her husband Tim, Beth Dolan and her husband Mike, Krys Gallear and Amanda Gallear; great grandchildren Mackensie, Oliver and Miles Chewning, and Harry and Nate Dolan. Betty is also survived by her brother Stephen Sotack of Crofton, Maryland.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Cremation was private.
