Ellen Arlene Brautigan, 79, passed away on December 18, 2022. Ellen grew up in Union and lived in Basking Ridge. She graduated from Union High School in 1961, shortly after attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial College, and later went on to graduate from Kean University majoring in business. She worked as the Human Resource Director at Allied Chemical, Verizon, and later with Liz Claiborne Fashions in Secaucus.
She enjoyed spending time at her beach house in Ortley Beach. She was a member of the Kean Alumni Association, loved jazz and especially listening to Frank Sinatra music.
Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Mildred and her brother, John. She will be missed by her many relatives and friends. She was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Hollywood Memorial Park. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Hubert’s Animal Shelter or Kean University Foundation. Services were handled by Bradley, Haeberle, & Barth Funeral Home, Union, NJ.
