~~Elsbeth “Ellie” Schippmann
Born in Germany on October 5, 1929, “Ellie” put on her dirndl and danced into the light on November 10. She peacefully slipped away with her daughters Joann and Carol by her side.
Ellie spent many years caring for her grandchildren Jessica and Ryan Porch and Richard and Heather (Denner) Shanley. Their “Oma” was an avid baker and her holiday cheesecake and lemon squares were always a staple around the table during times of celebration. She was also blessed with a great grandson Richard who gave her joy with his visits and facetiming.
Throughout her life, Miss Ellie was generous with her time helping friends and family whenever needed. One of Elsbeth’s passions was dancing and socializing at the Bayern Verein of Newark and the Deutscher Club of Clark.
For the past six years, the nursing staff at the Masonic Village of Burlington, NJ became Ellie’s second family caring for and tending to all of her needs.
