Enrico Chiaese, 75, of Union passed away on April 11, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, 984 Suburban Rd. in Union on Wednesday, April 13th at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. also in Union on Wednesday, April 13th from 9:30 to 11:30 prior to the Mass.
Born and raised in Catania, Sicily, the son of Carlo and Rosina (DiDio) Chiaese, Enrico first came to the United States at the age of 17. Shortly after, he returned to serve his country in the Italian Army and then came back to the U.S. to get married and raise his family. Enrico lived in Union for many years. He spent his career in the food industry beginning with the Jay Syrup Company before opening his own business, Catania Foods. Enrico then joined Ferraro Foods where he spent 25 years as one of their top producers until his retirement in 2017. Enrico enjoyed playing cards and the lottery and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Enrico was the beloved husband of 35 years to the late Virginia Chiaese. He was the loving father of Carlo Chiaese and Claudia Alifano and her husband Tom. He is also survived by his cherished grandsons, Luca Chiaese, Philip Alifano and Carlo Alifano as well as many loving relatives and friends.
